About me
I was born and raised in the Philippines. Since I was in my teens, I have always found stories in the books I read, pictures and art pieces I see, and the songs I sing and hear. That was when I knew I have the knack for writing stories.
I studied Hospitality management in the Philippines and it helped me with interacting with people, being social and being open to get to know them. I studied Legal Assistant and it helped me know how the world works in the modern times through the law. Connecting them altogether has helped me to get to where I am now… an aspiring journalist.
I volunteered at my church as a floor director, and it unlocked the potential I never thought I have, which is broadcasting. Since then, I’ve volunteered as a camera operator and a switcher. And later on, hired as an audio technician.
I enjoy local interest (e.g. political, social, business) and international stories when I watch or read the news. One day, I would like to localize international stories as my beat. In the long run, I would like to create features about people’s life stories and create opportunities for others in the media.
